What It Is
LiveOnlineTM broadcasts are a state-of-the-art training system for insurance brokers! Through live, interactive sessions, managers, customer service representatives and producers will hear from experts on such topics as business planning, accounting, errors and omissions avoidance, bonding, business interruption and more, all from the comfort of your own home! Sessions include interviews of topic experts in real time with the opportunity for participants to ask questions live using SkypeTM, as well as general instruction from knowledgeable trainers.
LiveOnlineTM broadcasts use cutting edge technology to deliver seminars in a live format via streaming video over the Internet. This allows participants to log in to seminars from any computer with high-speed internet, eliminating the need to travel or take time off work.
Broadcasts typically last one to one and a half hours and may be broadcast on successive nights to create a series on a particular topic.
How It Works
Once participants have registered, they are sent an email with details of how to set up their computer for viewing and participation in the broadcast. Requirements are very basic: participants must have a media player such as Windows Media, SkypeTM software if they wish to call or text in questions, and high-speed internet. A link to access the broadcast is sent to participants a day or two in advance of a session. Participants then click the link, log in and view the broadcast in real-time. Courses that utilize PowerPoint presentations (and other written material) are in PDF format available by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the course should participants wish to download copies. A document link will also be in the course link email.
CE Credits
Participants in LiveOnlineTM broadcasts receive continuing education credits provided they “attend” (log into and stay for the duration of) a sessions or course series. We cannot issue certificates for partially-completed seminars or courses. Continuing education certificates are sent via email within 2 weeks after training has been completed.
